Elisa Volpi

EDUCATION

Elisa holds a Master Degree in Law from the University of Milan (Italy). During her Master degree, she studied for 6 months at the University of Valencia (Spain) and for 1 year at the University of Brussels (ULB), where she developed her thesis in International law.

CAREER

After graduating in 2018, Elisa moved to Australia and worked for the Trademarks team of a law firm located in the Sydney Central Business District (CBD).
Here she acquired her first experience in Trademarks, and Intellectual Property in general. Her job covered all parts of the life cycle of trademarks: the first trademark search, the selection of the classes, the handling of the application process (domestic and international), the development of strategies to overcome potential rejections, the potential opposition proceedings after reaching the grant of protection, as well as the further watches to guarantee continuous protection.

She worked with several types of businesses – start-ups, SME’s and multinationals – in several sectors, such as the food industry, fashion, tech, real estate and sports.

Once Elisa returned to Europe in 2019, she continued working in IP, but in more operational types of roles that mainly concerned patents.
These roles allowed Elisa to deepen her knowledge and experience in the IP field as well as to understand where her career belongs: with Trademarks.

LANGUAGES

Elisa is a native Italian speaker, who is also very fluent in English and Spanish and has some knowledge of French.
